Come join us for the 2nd Annual Uranium-235k run/walk on May 16, 2026, at the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant in Bridgman, MI. With the iconic containment domes in the background, the route will take you on a scenic tour of the Cook Plant property. You will pass landmarks such as our Radioactive Materials Building, Switchyard, and Visitor's Center. The entry fee is $30, and includes a finisher's medal and Uranium-235k memorabilia. Additional awards will be presented to the top finishers in each age bracket. A drawing will also be held for door prizes. Participation is limited so don't delay, sign up today!
Please note:
Passenger vehicles only. Buses, Recreational Vehicles, or similar are not allowed onsite.
Participants must arrive at the site NO LATER THAN 9:45 am race day. Access to the site closes at this time to allow for final route set up.
Only badged employees are to register under the Employee option. Non-badged family members and/or friends must register under the Public option.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent onsite. You must be at least 13 to race.
Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP) is a nuclear facility that is governed by multiple Federal Laws and licensing documents. Some of those laws and documents describe “Prohibited Items”. Items prohibited from being brought on to the Owner Controlled Area (basically the facility’s property that is outside of the large fence) of CNP include: Alcoholic beverages and containers, illegal controlled substances (of which federally, marijuana is still considered an illegal controlled substance), firearms, ammunition, and explosives (or incendiary devices). Public personnel taking video footage, including the use of Go-Pros, cell phones, and drones is also not allowed at the CNP site. Snap shots (pictures) are allowed at the registration area, starting line, and finish line.
